Hello there!
January seems sluggish and is getting colder day by day. The snowfall has finally started, as I'm writing to you with sparse chances of rainfall. With zero to little snow and rain in the plains for almost 2 months, I witnessed global warming in my region. It's really bothersome and I long for a change.
Let me share my favourite piece of writing from internet, along with two really beautiful poems.
I am reading Indian Summer: The Secret History of the End of an Empire a book by Alex von Tunzelmann and Before We Say Goodbye by Toshikazu Kawaguchi.

Review of: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness
Title: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness
Author: Arundhati Roy
Genre: Novel, Fiction
Pages: 449
I love how poetic and political Roy's writing is. I read "The God of Small Things" a few years back and instantly fell in love with her raw and hard-hitting writing style. This book is about everything and nothing at once, which made it a little difficult for me to read at first, but the gripping and heartbreaking story kept me hooked till the end. The story is told in the first person narrative by Aftab, an intersexual person who later identified as Anjum. The optimistic symbolism and peculiar quotes, along with Urdu shayari, used throughout the book are what I liked more than the book itself. In my opinion, this book is a must-read for people who are interested in systemic prejudice, history, and are especially but fans of long books (like me).
My rating is 4.5/5 stars.
I'm experimenting with writing Sijo these days and it is growing on me (slowly). To give you an idea, here are a few:
